Hy-Vee donating water Thursday to French Is. residents impacted by PFAS contamination
Hy-Vee will be donating 25,000 gallons of bottled water to people on French Island on Thursday.
The Town of Campbell community has been impacted by PFAS contamination in private well water.
HyVee said residents can pick up two 24-packs of bottled water per person in their family, while supplies last.
The grocery store chain announced the five semis will be at the east lot of the Days Inn from 3-6 p.m. to distribute bottled water (map).
The company said it is enough to supply 4,000 people for several days.
Hy-Vee has plans to build a future store in the old Sears building at the Valley View Mall.
