Sarah Ellingson, the Executive Director of the Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse, explained it is unique because it is a grant making organization.
The Women’s Fund does not provide direct services to individuals, but it does fund programs that are specific to women and girls in the La Crosse community.
Ellingson said grant applications are currently open and available until May 1.
Grants are available for “organizations in the community that are 501(c)(3) organizations or public agencies, like health departments or school districts,” Ellington said.
More information on eligible recipients, past grants and a link for applications can be found here.
