La Crosse city buses will charge fares again in May

La Crosse city buses will start charging fares again, beginning the first week of May. 

The fare collection was supposed to resume this week, but the city delayed that move while it waits for more safety equipment to be installed on the buses. 

An adult bus ride will cost $1.50. Youth rides for ages 4-17 cost $1.25.  Seniors 65 and over, and disabled riders, pay $.75. College students will ride free with a student ID. 

Face masks are still be required.
