La Crosse nearing 40% getting 1st COVID-19 vaccine shot, while Wisconsin’s over 20% fully inoculated
Nearly 40 percent of La Crosse County residents have gotten the first COVID-19 vaccination shot.
Fully inoculated in the county hit 24.2 percent on Tuesday.
Statewide, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa are all fairly even with vaccinations. Here’s a look:.

La Crosse did add 14 cases of the virus Tuesday. The county is averaging 10.9 cases per day the past week. Last week, that average was 6.7 a day.
Case wise, Wisconsin and Iowa are doing much better than Minnesota, which has three times the cases. Wisconsin is averaging 634 cases a day the past week, Iowa’s at 584 and Minnesota is at 1,832.
