Police arrest suspect in La Crosse north side shooting that wounded one
Just over a week after a shooting had wounded someone on La Crosse’s north side, police say they have a suspect in custody.
Recognizing Julius Lloyd as that suspect, La Crosse Police made a traffic stop on April 9, as the 22-year-old was getting into a vehicle.
Lloyd initially resisted arrest and police say one officer was injured during the altercation. The extent of that injury was not revealed.
Lloyd had 22 gem bags of what’s believed to be cocaine, along with $700 cash on him. He was taken to La Crosse County jail.
The shooting took place around 3:30 a.m. April 4 in the area of Rublee and Prospect Streets. The person shot had non-life-threatening injuries.
