City Hall and the La Crosse Center are seeking public opinion, on works of art.

Two finalists have been chosen for a project that will help decorate a large space inside the La Crosse Center.

Those two artists are doing on-line forums to explain their concepts for the Center art work.

One forum, with artist Stacia Goodman, was held during the noon hour on Friday, while another forum with Barbara Westfall, is set for noon on Monday, through the Lifesize cloud used by the city of La Crosse.  A committee working on La Crosse Center art will consider comments on the projects, and plans to choose a winner late next week.

Goodman works mainly in ceramic tile and stained glass, and Westfall specializes in murals using glass, metal, and wood.

The winning design will be displayed on walls within the newly renovated parts of the La Crosse Center, now undergoing a $42 million expansion.

Both artists were asked to create designs along the themes of “evolve, enrich, explore.”
