Semi hits Monroe County truck, sends one to hospital
A semi crashed into a Monroe County Highway truck Monday morning, sending one person to the hospital.
The highway truck was the last in a row of vehicles doing maintenance work on the shoulder of Highway 71 eastbound, near Kendall, Wis.
It was hit from behind by the semi, around 11 a.m. The highway truck driver was taken to the hospital. The semi driver was not injured.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Monroe County Emergency Management, Kendall Fire Department, as well as both Wilton and Tomah ambulances were all on the scene.
