Brothers accused of dealing meth in north La Crosse
Two brothers in La Crosse County are suspected of dealing meth to a police informant.
Gregory and Benjamin Balfany allegedly sold more than 40 grams of meth to the informant during a deal in late March on the north side of La Crosse.
Fifty-one-year-old Gregory Balfany is being charged as a repeater, while the DA’s office is still preparing charges against 40-year-old Benjamin.
Court records show Gregory with a list of convictions in several Wisconsin counties, dating back almost 30 years. He was convicted of possessing meth in Trempealeau County in 2019, for which he was placed on probation.
