Drug trafficking charges for La Crosse woman, said to be dealing with infant nearby
Drug trafficking charges have been filed against a La Crosse woman, following an arrest this week.
Anna Zierfus is accused of dealing meth to an informant at her north La Crosse home last December.
Police say Zierfus’s 1-year-old child was nearby when the drug deal took place.
Zierfus also reportedly has been found carrying meth twice in the past month. Her bond has been set at $1,000 cash.
In other court cases, a public defender is being appointed for a La Crosse man who’s accused of repeated sexual assaults against the same child.
Vanin McKinnon was charged earlier this month with assaulting a young girl many times over a five-year period. The assaults allegedly began in 2008.
McKinnon is serving a prison sentence in Oshkosh for a previous case.
Also, a suspect in a La Crosse shooting earlier this month is still trying to find a defense lawyer.
Julius Lloyd is accused of shooting and wounding another person on Easter Sunday in a north La Crosse neighborhood, and he faces an attempted murder charge.
Lloyd was arrested days after the shooting, during a traffic stop. His next court appearance is scheduled in two weeks.
