Mask rules continue at La Crosse schools for rest of semester
While Americans are still puzzled about the CDC saying whether people should continue wearing masks to fight COVID, La Crosse’s school superintendent says the current rules will stay in place through spring graduation.
However, Dr. Aaron Engel says there could be changes by fall, which will be worked out during the summer.
La Crosse schools had virtual learning for the first semester of this school year. They started bringing students back to buildings gradually in January.
Engel tells the school board that masks are not likely to be needed outdoors, for sports events or recess at schools.
The last day of school for the semester is Thursday, June 3rd.
