A jury trial is planned this fall in La Crosse for a man suspected of killing a teenager in a north-side alley, allegedly as part of a feud between two families.

Shavonte Thompson is accused of shooting Javier Hall near Copeland Park on November 2nd of 2019.

Jury selection for Thompson’s trial is scheduled for November 8th this year, with the trial expected to last four days.

Police say security video showed Thompson arriving at the crime scene in a car, shooting the 18-year-old Hall, and then riding away.

The suspect’s cousin, Odell Thompson, is accused of driving Shavonte to and from the murder site.

Odell’s trial in the homicide case is set for January.
