Cycle rider killed in Onalaska collision
A Memorial Day collision in Onalaska has killed a motorcycle rider and left a second driver injured.
Police Chief Charles Ashbeck says police followed a speeding motorcycle on Highway 35 on Monday afternoon.
The cycle stopped briefly near the Kwik Trip and the city library, but then took off again, and officers eventually decided not to pursue the rider, who was estimated to be going about 100 miles an hour.
As the officer was reporting to dispatch, he saw the motorcycle hit a Hyundai near Domke Street.
The cycle rider was ejected, and declared dead at the scene. He was identified as 33-year-old Tou Lor of Holmen.
The woman driving the Hyundai was injured and taken to a hospital. There were two passengers in her vehicle, apparently not injured.
