Break from 90-degree weather for a couple days

La Crosse has now experienced two long stretches of 90-degree weather in less than 12 months. 

The heat wave that dominated local weather all of last week included 9 days in a row in La Crosse of temps reaching 90 or above, including 2 days with a high of 99. 

The 90-degree streak ended on Saturday, when the mercury peaked at 89, only to rise again to 95 on Sunday. 

The previous 9-day string of 90-degree weather happened last summer, around the 4th of July. 

The National Weather Service says highs may be in the 80’s on Tuesday and Wednesday, before rising into the 90’s again on Thursday.
