Missed a deer, hit a guardrail

A driver in Vernon County trying to avoid a deer late at night was not able to avoid a guardrail. 

Around 11 o’clock Wednesday night, Julie Jozefowicz of De Soto swerved to miss a deer on Highway 35 near Stoddard. 

Sheriff’s officers in Vernon County say the car hit the end of a guardrail, resulting in severe damage to the car and the guardrail. 

Jozefowicz was taken by ambulance to Gundersen in La Crosse to be evaluated.
