A Brownsville woman accused of causing a fatal crash near the La Crosse Airport last year could enter a “not guilty” plea at a court hearing on Friday.

Fifty-five-year-old Molly Weis was charged last week with vehicular homicide, for colliding with a delivery truck at Airport Road and Breezy Point in June of 2020.

The truck driver, Brian Belling, had to be freed from the overturned vehicle, and died several days later at Gundersen in La Crosse.

Belling told police the other driver went through a stop sign.

Investigators say Weis was over the speed limit, made a U-turn, and did not stop for a stop sign before hitting Belling’s truck.  Weis said she didn’t remember seeing the truck before the collision.
