SUV crashes into house in Coon Valley

A driver from South Dakota could be charged with crashing his sport utility vehicle into a house in Coon Valley.

Vernon County sheriff’s officers were called early Sunday morning, after a Yukon Denali went off Central Avenue and ran into an unoccupied house.

The driver, 64-year-old Garhardt Waldner of Faulkton, South Dakota, fled from the scene and was found a few hours later.

Investigators think alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
