Building scam suspects arrested in La Crosse

La Crosse County is weighing criminal charges against two men accused of ripping off customers who hired them for roofing or blacktop work. 

After Buffalo County reported multiple complaints, La Crosse County arrested Bobby Neal and Xavier Neal last week.

The Neals are suspected of running construction scams in different parts of the country. 

One customer in Buffalo County claims to have been charged more than 10 times the asking price for the work the men were hired to do, being presented with an estimate of $400 but then getting a bill for $7,000.

The men were arrested on Friday, and have court appearances set in La Crosse this week.
