The Caledonia and Spring Grove area took on the flavor of Hollywood last fall, with the start of an area film festival.  The event went so well, they’re doing it again this month, starting on July 22nd.  Spring Grove-Caledonia Film Festival organizer Katie O’Regan has chosen several dozen films to be shown on-line, along with 42 to be seen at the Spring Grove Cinema.

Last year’s featured guest, Ed Asner, will be back for the second year, and actor Daniel Baldwin will be featured as well, showing a documentary he directed, called “My Promise to PJ.”

O’Regan says Baldwin’s film is about “his very personal story about recovery, and about his promise he made to this young man. If he got sober and stayed straight for two years, he’d go run with the bulls with him” in Spain.

At the film’s showing in Spring Grove on July 23rd, Daniel will be in person, but he’ll be joined on Zoom by his brother Alec Baldwin.
