Milwaukee area man faces charge in La Crosse of attempted sexual assault of a minor

A Waukesha County man is charged in La Crosse County with attempted sexual assault for trying to meet a minor, after months of reportedly texting with an undercover deputy. 

Christopher Lemke of Brookfield was given a signature bond last week, after being arrested on Rose Street in La Crosse. 

Lemke reportedly had reserved a motel room in La Crosse, thinking he was going to meet a 15-year-old girl there.

His case will be reviewed again by a judge next week.    

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
