New units for vets, homeless planned near brewery
A Madison developer gets approval from a La Crosse committee, to put up dozens of new apartments for veterans and the homeless near downtown.
The community development committee is endorsing the 65-unit plan offered by Cinnaire Solutions, for a complex that would go on 4th Street near City Brewery.
The majority of the apartments would be priced below market-rate rents, with the lowest monthly rents in the $350 range.
Developers have brought three competing proposals for the 4th Street area to the committee this month.
Units in the Cinnaire project would range from studios to 3 bedroom apartments, with Lutheran Social Services working as a partner.

Why do the homeless veterans have to be subjected to an extremely offensive dirty greedy church in order to get housed?
