Dogs and golf — perfect combo in helping Coulee Region Humane Society, which has 226 animals in care
Coulee Region golfers have a great reason to hit the links on September 17th.
They’ve got one rabbit. A couple guinea pigs. And a whole lot of cats and dogs at the Coulee Region Humane Society right now.
A fundraiser called Rounds for Rescues on Sept. 17 is looking to get them much needed help.
“Cover some of our medical expenses,” Coulee Region Humane Society’s Executive Director, Heather Drievold told Z93. “Helping provide for food. We have about 226 animals in our care right now.”
The event takes place at Fox Hollow Golf Course, beginning with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. And yes, there will be doggos there.
Join Mid-West Family La Crosse for a great day of golf, and that warm fuzzy — literally and figuratively — feeling knowing you’re helping the Coulee Region Humane Society.
“It is a super fun day,” Drievold said. “We’re still looking for golfers to participate. … There will be pet therapy dogs there.”
Registration is $260 per foursome and includes 18 holes carts, lunch, raffle prizes and a chance at great hole-in-one prizes including $25,000 cash or even a brand new Jeep.
The funds raised will go to work quickly for animal care.
The day makes for a great outing with friends, a fantastic team building event for co-workers or groups.
