They couldn’t do the usual Radiothon for the Children’s Miracle Network in La Crosse last year, but the fund-raiser is back for 2021.

The event benefitting Gundersen in La Crosse often raises around $100,000 to help local families with medical needs.

“So many of us in the community…one medical emergency can really do damage to our finances,” says Rena Cash, CMN program coordinator with Gundersen.  “So that’s where we try to be there and support our families, so we can lessen that financial burden.”

The Radiothon will air from Gundersen between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. both Thursday and Friday on three Mid-West Family stations…95-7 The Rock, KQ98, and Z-93.  It will also be livestreamed on aroundrivercity.com.

The event was not held last year because of COVID-19. Instead of a three-day fund-raising event, the Radiothon is down to two days this year.
