This Sunday is gonna be spooky on Main St. in La Crescent.

The 3rd Annual Thriller street dance performance is happening at 6 p.m. Sunday for anyone who wants to join.

Meagan Waddell, a busy mom and wife, is a dancer at heart. She started this thing three years ago.

She was inspired when living in Lexington, Kentucky, where they have thousands of dancing zombies.

“This is just a little something that I thought I would do to give back to our community here in La Crescent, where my husband and I were really lucky to raise our kids,” Waddell told Classic Hits 94.7.

There’s still time to learn the dance and join in. One more rehearsal takes place Wednesday night at the La Crescent Community Center. If you can’t make the rehearsal, head to Thriller Parade La Cresent MN to see a video and practice at home.

Not a dancer? The community is invited to dress up as Zombies and have fun on the sidelines. Waddell says there will be a food truck frundraiser for the La Crescent High School band boosters club in the Merchants Bank parking lot from 4-7 p.m.

Tracy has worked at Mid-West Family La Crosse since 2004. She is half of the Z93 Morning Buzz with Brittany and Ballzer and coordinates Z93's charity, Zcare. She writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse and announces for the Mississippi Valley Mayhem Roller Derby team.
