Two in custody, as search continues for 3-year-old last seen in La Crosse
The search for a 3-year-old boy, who was last seen in La Crosse, continues, as arrests were made late Wednesday into the death of his mother.
The Milwaukee Police Department arrested multiple people in relation to the homicide of 25-year-old Mallery Muenzenberger of Onalaska — the mother of the missing 3-year-old, Major Harris.
Muenzenberger was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in the backyard of a Milwaukee home a week ago. The person of interest in her death, 20-year-old Jaheem Clark, died by suicide three days later.
Milwaukee police have two in custody in relation to the homicide, while the search for Harris continues, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. Police believe those in custody may have knowledge of what happened.
Carlton Harris, the boy’s father, told the Sentinel his emotions are wearing thin, as search efforts have turned up little since his son went missing Oct. 9.
“It’s been too long and I’m afraid,” he said. “So much time has passed I’m getting angry, I’m getting upset and I’m tired of being humble about my son. I’m begging y’all, please.”
Milwaukee Police continue to ask for the public’s help in getting information on Clark’s actions and whereabouts between Oct. 9-17.
Police believe Muenzenberger and Harris traveled from La Crosse to Milwaukee on Oct. 9.
