Motorcyclist crashes into delivery truck near Viroqua

A motorcyclist collided with a delivery truck driver in Vernon County, sending the cyclist to the hospital with significant injuries, according to a report.

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old La Crosse man in a delivery truck was turning left off of State Highway 27, about seven miles south of Viroqua.

The truck driver apparently did not see two motorcyclists approaching, when he turned in front of them.

One motorcyclist swerved around the truck but the other, driven by a 45-year-old man, hit the front corner of the delivery vehicle.

He was taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua by Tri-State Ambulance.

The Viroqua Fire Department assisted at the scene, while the incident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
