The Milwaukee County medical examiner has determined that a 3-year-old boy from Onalaska died at about the same time his mother was killed.

An autopsy on the child, Major Harris, determined that he died October 13th or 14th.

The body of Major’s mother, Mallery Muenzenberger, was found in Milwaukee on the 14th.  The two were last seen together in the La Crosse area on October 9th.

The findings suggest that the boy had already died by the time a statewide Amber Alert was issued on October 16th.  Milwaukee police say two people recently arrested in connection with the mother’s death have now been released.

The man suspected of shooting Muenzenberger reportedly killed himself at a Milwaukee house on October 17th, while city police were outside.
