For the second consecutive game, La Crosse native Johnny Davis scored 15 in helping the Wisconsin men’s basketball improve to 2-0.

The Badgers throttled UW-Green Bay 72-34 on Friday at the Kohl Center.

Davis was once again two points from his career high. He added five rebounds, two assists, a steal, a block and no turnovers in 25 minutes.

The sophomore, however, again struggled from the field, shooting just 5 of 16 from the field, including 0-for-3 from deep.

He’s now shooting 35.5% from the field in Wisconsin’s first two games. Last season, in averaging 7.0 points in 24.3 minutes a game, Davis shot 44.1% from the field.

Wisconsin also honored former coach Bo Ryan.
