La Crosse Jaycees Toys for Tots’ barrels out now, plus toy drive this weekend
This Saturday, the community can donate new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations at the La Crosse Center.
The La Crosse Jaycees has been running the Toys For Tots program for over 80 years. They are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children in our community now through Dec. 3.
The toy barrels are out now at 70 different locations, donors can CLICK HERE to find the full list of locations to drop off toys, looking for new, unwrapped toys for kids ages 12 and under.
Community VP and Toys For Tots media co-chair Lyndsey Langer told Z93 that they’re looking for “pretty much anything except electronics. Normally we need things like Legos, arts and crafts, and we need sports balls this year.”
Registration for families to apply to receive toys will once again be online.
“Last year worked out really well. You go through our Facebook page or our website, follow the links and it’s a pretty easy process,” Toys for Tots media co-chair Jason Jones said.
If your family is in need, you can register to receive gifts HERE through Saturday.
Also on Saturday is the annual one-day toy drive from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. in front of the La Crosse Center. Swing by with toys or monetary donations.
Langer said they could still use some volunteers for Toys for Tots, as well.
“As far as COVID, we had to limit some numbers but we do have some spots open,” Langer said. “People can help us go through the toys and sort them or shop for children once we get their wish lists.”
You can sign up to volunteer, email [email protected] and like their Facebook page for updates.
