La Crosse County’s For Goodness Sake Project Seeks Holiday Sponsors
Community donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations helped nearly 1,000 people receive gifts last year.
La Crosse County’s “For Goodness Sake Project” is an invitation-only holiday gift program for current clients working with staff in the Health and/or Human Services Department.
For the holidays, members of our community, businesses, and organizations sponsor individuals or families.
Project Coordinator, Lindsey Schwarz-Nichols, told Z93 that community members that are able to help should reach out to her directly at the health department. “We will work with you and what your preferences are to make a good match. Find out what’s a good fit for you.” Those looking to help can also donate cash or gift cards to be used for those that are not sponsored at the end of the project.
For those interested in donating, contact Project Coordinator, Lindsey:

This project makes a difference to those that are sponsored, and it can only happen with the community’s support. 100% of this project is funded through local donations & community sponsors. Last year, almost 1,000 community members in need received gifts through this project.
The “For Goodness Sake Project” is a year round program that is able to serve many community members in need. They’re always seeking donations of hygiene products (especially hotel sized), gift cards, and cash to purchase needed items.
