Badgers, on a 5-game win streak, move up to No. 17 in coaches poll, ranked 22nd in AP

The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team moved up one spot in the AP Top 25 poll to No. 22 in the nation and moved up four spots on the coaches poll, now ranked 17th.

The Badgers (7-1) have reeled off five consecutive wins with the emergence of Johnny Davis.

Wisconsin is unbeaten when the La Crosse native has played this season.

The sophomore averaging 20.1 points. He averaged 7.0 as a freshman. He’s leading the Badgers in scoring, rebounds (5.6), assists (2.4), steals (1.6) and turnovers (1.9).

The Badgers host Indiana (7-1) on Wednesday to kick off the Big 10 schedule. The Hoosiers are ranked just outside the Top 25.
