UPDATE: Possible arrest made in Holmen drive-by shooting — charged with attempted homicide
An arrest has been made in the Holmen drive-by shooting.
Wesley Dollar’s name appears on the La Crosse County Jail inmate list.
While the jail website lists first-degree intentional homicide as a potential charge, Holmen police chief Shane Collins says the actual charge will be attempted homicide, because the person who was hit by gunfire had minor injuries.
The department says a single gunshot went into a house on Cliffview Drive, with a person in the house being injured.
Dollar has a long list of cases in Wisconsin Circuit Courts. He’s had eight cases since 2020 and 26 dating back to 2008 — 14 of which are driving related and nine of those were operating while suspended.
There are other serious charges, however.
In July, Dollar was charged in La Crosse County with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, among other things.
Last February, he was charged with battery and disorderly conduct in Grant County.
In December of 2020, he was charged with use of a dangerous weapon in Crawford County.
In September of 2019, he was charged with carrying a concealed knife in Vernon County.
