Badger forced to cancel game due to positive COVID-19 tests

The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball called off its game on Thursday, due to COVID-19.

After having to scrammble Tuesday to find an opponent to play, after another team cancelled its game due to COVID-19, the Badgers had to cancel themselves.

UW medical officials made the decision after positive COVID-19 tests were found within the program.

Ticket holders will be notified via email on steps due to the cancellation.

Wednesday, the 24th-ranked Badgers (9-2) found George Mason to play Thursday, after Morgan State cancelled.

Wisconsin next plays Dec. 29 at the Kohl Center against Illinois State.

The team gave no indication as to whether the COVID situation would be cleared up by then.
