Minnesota Republican Jim Hagedorn released a statement Tuesday, saying doctors are asking him to be treated at Mayo Clinic for now.

Hagedorn received word of the positive test Monday night.  He says he did get a vaccination against the virus, and has shown “very mild” symptoms.

The two-term House member has been treated for kidney cancer over the last three years, and says he plans to stay at Mayo until doctors clear him to go home to Blue Earth or return to Washington for work.

Hagedorn traveled on Air Force One with President Donald Trump in the fall of 2020, a few days before Trump was diagnosed with COVID.  The Congressman tested negative for the virus at that time.
