Police identify 36-year-old who was shot and killed on La Crosse’s north side Saturday

No suspects yet, but La Crosse Police have identified the man who was shot and killed early Saturay on the north side of La Crosse.

The victim is Ernest Knox. The 36-year-old died at the hospital a short time after being shot.

La Crosse Police have not said how many times or where Knox was hit.

It did say the shooting appears to be a random act of violence.

It took place on the 700 block of Rose Street, around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
