Chick-Fil-A could open in Onalaska this fall. When this fall? Don’t ask.

The long-awaited Chick-Fil-A restaurant planned for Onalaska is scheduled to open late this year.  The company isn’t being more specific than saying the opening should be in the fall. 

In early 2020, the city of Onalaska approved plans for putting the chicken restaurant on the site of the former Fauver Hill School, along Highway 16.  The application was approved just as the pandemic was shutting down construction projects.

The Onalaska city planning office says the building permits have been taken out, but it’s up to the contractors to decide when building will start. 

The nearest Chick-Fil-A to La Crosse is an hour away, in Rochester.
