A broken manhole at an I-90 on-ramp needs to be fixed, so part of the ramp will be closed for about three days, starting Friday morning.

The usual merging lane from Highway 16 eastbound will be closed until Monday. Drivers can go a short distance on Highway 16, then make a hard right turn to get onto I-90.

Semis should plan an alternate eastbound entrance to I-90.

The ramp will be open for traffic from other directions.

The La Crosse County highway commissioner said new concrete has to be poured around the manhole at the Highway 16 entrance to the eastbound interstate, heading to West Salem.
