La Crosse Police identify body found Wednesday in Black River

The body of a man found Wednesday in the Black River in La Crosse has been identified as Dayton Anderson-Teece.

Emergency responders followed the 27-year-old’s footprints from an area around 518 Logan Street that appeared to go onto the ice and out to open water around the boathouses just north of the boat ramp near Clinton Street.

Someone discovered the body in open water near those footprints.
