The La Crosse Community Foundation announced its winter grants for 2022.

Nearly $220,000 in competitive grants were awarded to 13 organizations.

The Foundation said $353,709 was requested for standard and mini grants. The grant nomination process closed Jan. 15.

The YWCA received the largest grant at $88,000. That money comes just a two weeks after Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers was in La Crosse to award the group a $1 million check from the state’s Equitable Recovery Grant program.
