The state of our union is strong?
The last two years have brought us a pandemic, a recession, inflation and now a war in Europe. The news seems to get worse each day. But tonight, the President of the United States will look us in the eye and tell us that the state of our union is strong. Painting a rosy picture is not new to President Biden. It is a time-honored tradition that no matter how bad things seem, our President will tell us how great things are. Or at least that they are getting better. But is our union really that strong when politics keeps us from even talking to each other? It seems that the state of our union is disunity. We are exhausted, from a pandemic to pain at the pump. Surveys show measures of happiness among Americans have hit a new low. Another poll finds only 29% of Americans believe the nation is on the right track. Like his predecessors, President Biden will use his address to the nation to tell us how he plans to make things better as members of his party stand and applaud and the rest sit on their hands. But a President’s plan still has to get through a gridlocked Congress. This annual address to Congress rarely changes things. It doesn’t change how the average person sees things. But that won’t stop this President or future ones from telling us the state of our union is strong, even if there is plenty of evidence to the contrary.

What’s really sickening is how the ‘journalists’ in the mainstream media continually try to prop up this failure and make him look presidential. Why are the ‘journalists’ doing this? Because Joe is following the elite agenda of open borders and the climate change hoax, and more gun control measures. The mainstream media does not challenge those in power…it serves those in power, but too many people don’t understand that.
