Two men wanted for January shooting death in north La Crosse

Two suspects in a recent La Crosse shooting death are being sought by police.

Nelson Brown of Rockford and Karvel Freeman of Madison are being charged with first-degree murder and reckless endangerment in the January murder of Ernest Knox. Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Freeman and Brown.

Knox was shot on January 8th in the 700 Block of Rose Street, outside the Verse Bar.

Police consider the suspects armed and dangerous, and are asking anyone with information about the men to contact the police department at (608) 782-7575 or through Crime Stoppers at (608) 784-TIPS. and online at Crime Stoppers.
