La Crosse Center hosting Wisconsin state Democratic Convention
The Wisconsin state Democratic Convention is coming to La Crosse.
The convention will take place June 25-26 at the La Crosse Center, which recently re-opened after a $42-million renovation.
La Crosse was chosen specifically to highlight the importance of the 3rd Congressional District race in the upcoming election, where five Democratic candidates are running to take over for the retiring Congressman Ron Kind’s seat — Brad Pfaff, Mark Neumann, Rebecca Cooke, Brett Knudsen and Deb McGrath.
Derrick Van Orden is the only Republican running for the seat.
