Pump prices in La Crosse now lower than in other big Wisconsin cities

La Crosse has gone quickly from having the highest gas prices among major Wisconsin cities, to posting the lowest prices in that same group. 

The state AAA says La Crosse’s current average pump price is $3.68 a gallon, which is down 27 cents from last week, and 54 cents lower than a month ago. 

All of the large Wisconsin cities on the AAA list now have average prices below $4 a gallon, with Green Bay leading the list at $3.98.   The lowest gas prices in the U.S. this week can generally be found between the Mississippi and the Rockies.  Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota have some of the lowest prices in the country, while Illinois has one of the highest averages.
