A murder suspect captured this month in Tennessee is expected to appear in La Crosse County court on Monday.

Karvel Freeman of Madison was booked in the La Crosse County jail on Sunday, almost three weeks after being arrested in Rutherford County, Tennessee on a warrant from Wisconsin.

Freeman is one of two suspects in the January shooting death of Ernest Knox outside a north La Crosse bar. The other suspect, Nelson Brown of Rockford, has not been arrested yet.

A status hearing also is scheduled Monday for one of the two men accused of a triple murder outside a quarry near West Salem. Three men were shot at that location last July. Nya Thao and Khamthaneth Rattanasack are awaiting trial later this year for those shootings.

Thao may appear in court Monday. Rattanasack has a status hearing in July.
