Police asking for help, after woman nearly assaulted in La Crosse

A woman in La Crosse was pulled to the ground by her backpack by two people but still able to get away and call police on Monday night.

The incident has the La Crosse Police Department asking for the community’s help in identifying the two responsible.

The woman was walking in the area of 13th Street South and King Street around 9:45 p.m., when two unknown individuals pulled her down, before she got away.
