West Avenue lane closures in La Crosse due to Mayo $200 million hospital construction

West Avenue will be down to one lane in each direction near the Mississippi Street intersection beginning today.

Construction on Mayo’s newest $200-million hospital is the reason. The lane closures should be done by May 27.

The city says utility work underground is being done to that area and that construction is being staged to minimize disruption of access.
