Volunteers, emergency responders in Winona help locate missing 11-year-old

The Winona County Sheriff’s Department shared that volunteers, first responders the fire department and law enforcement came together and helped find a missing 11-year-old.

“Neighbors helping neighbors was on full display in the early morning hours (Tuesday),” the department shared on Facebook.

The only other details posted on the matter were that the child was found safe, unharmed and returned to loved ones.

Along with neighbors, others who helped in the search included the Wilson Fire Department and first responders, the Winona County Search Operations and Rescue (SOAR) Team, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Winona Police Department’s K9 Unit and Winona County Emergency Management.
