As I See It

People aren’t happy, and the President is to blame

Is this country going in the right direction? Not according to a new poll. And it’s not even close. The Associated Press poll finds 85% of U.S. adults feel the country is going in the wrong direction. And many apparently blame President Joe Biden. The same poll found Biden’s approval rating continuing to slip, now down to just 39%. On the economy it’s even worse, with 69% saying they don’t like the job Biden is doing on the economy. 43% of democrats don’t approve of his handling of the economy. Let’s face it, a lot of people aren’t happy these days, with inflation continuing, more mass shootings, the divide over issues like abortion, and a general malaise left over from the pandemic. Biden may or may not be to blame for any of that, but he continues to get the blame, particularly on the economy. Yet he has hinted he may decide to run again in 2024. With poll numbers like these, he may not survive a primary. It would be a mistake for Biden to run again, because of his age, but also his low approval ratings. The party would be wise to find someone younger, perhaps much younger, to channel the rage of the younger generation who are upset with all these new realities. Someone who can really connect with voters and help them believe the country is going in the right direction again.

Regarding your last sentence, I doubt anyone is looking for another failed leader that will deliver more spin/lies and get nothing good done, other than destroy the economy with failed policies.

Most voters are looking for a true leader that stands up for the needs of the people and can represent US interests on foreign policy. Certainly a leader that will give priority to US domestic issues and the “citizens” of the US first. Biden is an utter failure and a wrecking machine to the US economy.
