La Crosse city council member resigns, citing health concerns
A La Crosse city council memeber up for reelection this spring announced his resignation Thursday.
Justice Weaver, who represents La Crosse’s 5th District, cited health concerns as the reasoning for his resignation.
“I have had a wonderful experience serving with my fellow council members, city staff and many constituents of the great city of La Crosse,” Weaver said in a letter to La Crosse Mayor Mitch Reynolds. “Due to personal health issues, I no longer am able to adequately serve on the city council and will be relocating for the time being.”
Weaver was serving on three council committees: the Judiciary & Administration Committee, the Municipal Transit Utility Board and the Room Tax Commission.
