Biden vs. Trump again? Really?
This is a big country, with lots of people. Why then do we get so few choices when selecting who will lead this big country? Former President Donald Trump has reportedly made a decision about running for the office again in 2024. And presumably that decision by the twice-impeached former President is to run again. He says he has made up his mind whether he will run in 2024 and the only question now is when to make the official announcement. Trump is said to be leaning toward announcing sooner rather than later, likely dissuading other potential candidates from running. It is possible Trump will announce in Wisconsin. He is scheduled to speak at a high-priced fundraiser in Milwaukee in August. That would give him another chance to rally the troops by telling them the election was stolen from them. Will it be Trump and Biden to meet again in the next presidential election? Biden has hinted he may have interest in running again, but even a number of democrats are hoping he doesn’t. Are there no better, perhaps less divisive, candidates than Trump and Biden? For years our choices at the voting booth seemed to be someone named Bush or Clinton, and now it may again be a choice between Biden and Trump. Let’s hope that by the time the election rolls around, there are some fresher faces to choose from.

You ask why we get the few choices we get. It starts with the fact so few people really care to think about the big picture.
The media cannot honestly report on the news. In fact, there was an article yesterday about how the media likes biased news.
Let’s stay local, I have read the statements by othe candidates who want to replace Ron Kind. The statements are superficial.
China is trying to steal all the data they can from business.
They want to dominate the world and are utterly convinced their system is the best. We need to really pay attention to their goals. Leaders like Putin and Li among others do not care who they who do business with . We take the moral high ground and we suffer for it.
It is a dirty nasty world out there but most Americans out there are not aware how nasty and dirty it is.’
We need serious people and do not have many and the ones we have will never run this country.
I and others like me and there are more than you think feel this country is broken and can’t be fixed. Why, it starts with education and what is being taught and how it is taught.
I could go on and ion. No one really wants to discuss ideas with people like me

Nick, you are correct. No one wants to have a genuine conversation about politics, anymore. I wrote a letter to the local paper about the January 6th Committee as a rebuttal to an editorial about it. It seems like those who rebutted mine didn’t read it or don’t understand the way the law is supposed to work.
We are constantly being lied to by our government at most all levels. This world is getting to be a scary place to live in.
