In-person, absentee voting starts Tuesday for the Aug. 9 primary elections in Wisconsin.

Because of a Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling, residents will not be able to drop off an absentee ballot at the green box outside city hall.

Instead, the city of La Crosse is providing multiple locations available through Aug. 5 to cast a ballot or drop off an absentee ballot (schedule below).

Some of the positions on the primary ballot include governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state treasurer, US Senator, 3rd Congressional District US House representative, and sheriff.
